Jor-El Returns

12 hours into the marathon now. We are now halfway through Superman II and Lois is testing her theory that Clark is actually Superman. It seems this Lois Lane actually has the intellegence that her character us supposed to. Unlike Lois in Lois & Clark, she is not "galactically stupid".

You see, Lois realizes that everytime Superman appears Clark disappears...

Anyhow, before I got started on this Lois tangent, I was going to comment on Jor-El. This movies focuses on General Zod, played by Terrence Stamp. Stamp also voices Jor-El, in Smallville. It is kind of wierd seeing the comparison. General Zod definately doesn't much like Jor-El. Not sure if it is just age, or digital effects on his voice in Smallville to make him sound more commanding.

There is a group of poeple in online Superman forums that believe that a plot twist will reveal that Jor-El is actually General Zod, based solely on the fact that he is voiced by the same actor. Not that anyone thinks that Doctor Swann (Christopher Reeves) is actually Superman or Bridgette Whatshername (Margot Kidder) is Lois Lane. This theory doesn't make a whole lot of sense in the fifth season when Brainiac shows up and seems to want to destroy the Fortress of Solitude in the name General Zod.
