New Superpowers

Superman II is reaching it's climax. In this film we see super powers that we've never seen in any other incarnation of Superman.

Telekinesis: General Zod levitates a man into the air with his hands

Teleporting: Zod's thugs teleport to Superman and Superman teleports away

Creating Duplicates: Superman creates fakes versions of himself to confuse the enemy. It could be argued that it was the Fortress creating the duplicates though

Superman's Net: Superman produces some net version of his Super Shielf which catches Zod's follower, but disintigrates after catching her.

Hand Beams: Zod and Superman both create beams that come from their hands, which seem similar to the heat vision.

I'm not sure if any of these powers appear in the comics, or if they even appear later in the films (although we will find out the answer to that one), but it seems odd for an already god-like figure to be endowed with even more power.

One of my favourite scenes from the Superman movies happens at the end of this movies in the bar. Casey doesn't remember the scene so I won't mention it, but it happens in a diner. Good stuff. Shows Superman's vengeful side.
